The Blooming-Normal area has experienced industrial growth due in large part to Rivian Automotive’s commitment to manufacture in this area. There are a limited number of warehouses in the area that are large enough to accommodate Rivian’s storage space requirements. Rivian currently leases an existing 500,000 sq. ft. warehouse building which P.J. Hoerr connected to as part of this project. In turn, Rivian signed another lease agreement with the client for an additional 500,000 sq. ft. which required new construction of this facility.
